Overview
The sixteenth arrondissement
is the further west area of Paris. It borders on the Bois de Boulogne
to the West, the 17th to the North and the 8th to the East. It includes
the Arc de Triomphe on the Place de l'Etoile, the Trocadéro with
its views of the Eiffel Tower and the chic rue de Passy. Many of
the more upscale neighborhoods in Paris are located here, but they can
get quiet at night. It is a great area for business travellers because
of its proximity to the Paris business district, La Defense. The
16th borders on the world famous Champs-Elysées, and all of its
lively happenings.
