Abby told us that we would fall in love with this place, and boy did we ever. It was in a medieval building, with wood beams, windows facing Notre Dame and we just couldn't believe how cute it was. My mother and I really liked this apartment. There was a good kitchen and we used it a lot for breakfast and lunch. Mr Cooper gave us lots of help finding stores to go shopping and it was fun. They even spoke some Spanish. Being next to Notre Dame was wonderful. The bed was the most comfortable bed I've ever slept in. I'd love to buy a flat now...

We loved our stay at Rue Chanoinesse 4: The view of the flying buttresses a short block away and the bells of Notre Dame morning and evening, the large charmingly furnished, very clean studio with 15th century beamed ceiling, the comfy queen bed, the fully equipped kitchenette, the modern bathroom with shower doors that actually keep the water off the bathroom floor, the combination washer dryer, and the very quiet gendarme motorcycle garage several doors away where there was always a gendarme standing outside when we walked to the apartment day and night which made us feel very safe. The excellent, well written information booklet in the flat about housekeeping details, taxi, telephone, metro was very helpful. Your Internet website, the subsequent terms and payment information and forms, as well as the final notification telling us where to go for the key, including location maps were all excellent and very reassuring. also very helpful during our stay, were calls from owner and staff.

My partner and I spent a very happy three weeks in this cozy, comfy, well-appointed apartment. A fresh remodel, with the floor plan and all the details thought out carefully, yet still retaining old city character (the ceiling beams, the two windows). We were present for a two week heat spell, and the air conditioner performed perfectly; so I wouldn't worry about a midsummer stay (though air conditioning usually not necessary in Paris). The location is wonderful for strolling any time of the day, with both branches of the Seine and five lovely bridges nearby; and of course, all the historic architecture. This is the second apartment we have rented from Glenn. As you can see from the photos on his site, comfort and quality is a trademark of the firm; way above the average and fairly priced.

My sister-in-law and I stayed in this apartment the third week of June '06 for a "girly" trip to Paris. What a great place! The apartment was exactly as represented on the Website: spacious, well appointed, and most importantly, spotlessly clean. We discovered very quickly that being located just one short block from Notre Dame was definitely a bonus - every mode of transportation in Paris goes there - so it was always simple to get back home after a long day of seeing the sights. Living at #4 Chanoinesse was a wonderful experience! We much appreciated the many practical touches such as the ample storage and closet space, good reading lamps by the bed, the hair dryer, and radio/CD player. It was spacious enough so that two people could live comfortably there, but also retained the cozy charm of a space that's centuries old. The location of course is perfect; the street is quiet because tourists don't wander the small streets next to Notre Dame, but it's certainly the heart of all tourist destinations, and walking distance to all the best sights and neighborhoods. We loved opening the windows to hear the hourly bells from the Cathedral.

My husband and I stayed in apartment #4, about 1/2 block from Notre Dame. The bells and flying buttresses of Notre Dame filled our kitchen window where we dined almost every night. It was glorious. My husband and I found our stay at 4 Rue Chanoinesse to be an absolutely charming experience. The flat was everything we expected and so much more. It was convenient to everything, but also situated so that everything we might need was readily available. My husband and I just returned from a delightful one month's stay at Rue Chanoinesse4. It is amazing how Glenn has remodeled this apartment into a very attractive area with everything you need for a comfortable stay. If you have any experience with European hotel rooms, you will love the space this apartment offers. One nice surprise which doesn't show up in the website pictures is the full-length closet beside the bed. There is room for all of your hanging clothes plus three deep, long shelves for all of your other belongings. You can unpack your suitcases and store them in the bottom of the closet. The location of the apartment is perfect--in the heart of the city and just three minutes away from the St. Michel and Cite metro stations. On our last day there when the taxi company decided to slow down in preparation for the transportation strike, we just rolled our luggage to the St. Michel metro and took the train to the airport! This would have been quite difficult from another location.

Lovely apartment... just the perfect size for a couple. The view of Notre Dame was gorgeous and the location of the apartment was very convenient. Having a washer/dryer on hand was handy, as well. The apartment is situated in an ideal spot with food shops, fun shops, and all the sites of Paris within a short walk or metro ride. We would highly recommend this spot to anyone visiting Paris -- we will most certainly be back!

We spent two weeks during Christmas and New Year at Rue Chanoinesse4...we've rented from Cooper before and as usual, the process was smooth and the apartment is fabulous. Cozy but perfect for two people. Every night I'd open the window to see beautiful Notre Dame lit up and then again in the morning to hear the bells. In our opinion, the location can't be beat...especially with the police station and grocer next store.

Upon arrival, we received comprehensive instructions on how to operate appliances and how to get help if there were any problems. Everything was in excellent condition, from the clock radio to the stove. The air conditioner proved invaluable as we experienced some very hot weather. We used bee-shuttle from the airport. Never again.They were late to pick us up and then he took us to terminal 1 (crazy busy) to wait for someone else. What a PERFECT location! We have always especially loved the two islands, the Latin Quarter, and the Marais. The apartment was situated in a great postition for us to easily walk to all of those sections of the city. Compact yet comfortable, quiet, safe, with all the conveniences. Having the washer/dryer made a huge difference in being able to travel light in terms of packing. At 1/2 the price of a moderate hotel, this is a great apartment for funky and independent travelers.
