Euro weakens--Paris strengthens

The Euro has started a downward trend with respect to most other international currencies with notably a fall to below the $US 1.40 per Euro rate. This has been in process for the past month and seems to be what 2010 holds for Europe. As the Euro weakens, the increased value will make European travel and investment even more favorable for Americans, Canadians, South Americans, Australians, etc. Now is the perfect time to consider that trip to Paris that you put off last year for economic reasons. Rentals in Paris is still offering reduced rates on our beautiful central Paris apartments to help you make the decision even more easily.
http://www.rentals-paris.com

In addition for those of you who were considering buying an apartment in Paris, our Paris Fractional Ownership properties are expanding and each day it becomes more and more reasonable as the Euro falls. Please feel free to email any questions you have about owning a share of a beautiful Paris pied a terre.

Paris apartments: Paris fractional ownership

Paris is such a surprising city. It doesn't seem to follow patterns seen anywhere else in the world. This past year while the news was constantly reminding us of the poor state of the economy, you would have been hard pressed to see any signs of this in the City of Light. Restaurants, cafes, stores and museums were all more alive than ever before. This goes for Real estate here too. The desirability of owning a Paris apartment has turned the Paris Flat into a pretty stable place to invest some money. With interest rates as low as they are today, this has created more incentives to purchase a Paris apartment for many who have wanted to do so and finally decided to go ahead with their dream plans..

Paris Fractional ownership is the easiest way to go about making a first purchase in Paris. The amount of money required is far less than buying the property as full time owner outright and the worries involved with day to day management are minimal since our management team takes care of everything for you. We are proposing ideally located Paris apartments on the Ile de la Cite and in the Marais and shares are already being sold so please have a look here if you are interested..

Look forward to hearing from you.

From Colorado to Paris: Maribeth Clemente

Would you like to 'Live like a Parisian for a period of time' as discussed by Maribeth Clemente in her recent article published in Bonjour Colorodo . This well known travel writer honored Rentals in Paris LLC with a very informative article highlighting the advantages of selecting one of our beautiful Paris apartment rentals.

Glenn Cooper notes that it makes sense from the point of view of your wallet, which will be happy to see you've chosen the Paris apartment rental option instead of a costly Paris hotel. These days, hotels are so costly that beautiful apartments are a big bargain by comparison. They are also much more spacious and comfortable and include many amenities that don't exist in hotels or are charged extra (i.e. WiFi, telephone service).

The article then describes the wonderful feeling for Paris apartment renters to really have that experience to live like a local in the City of Light. Nothing beats going to a local Parisian market and picking out ingrediants you'll need to make a wonderful Parisian dinner at home during your stay here. You'll see Paris through a brand new perspective once you've done this.

Glenn does mention that for apartments are not the perfect fit for everybody. Those who need to have their hands held and like the comfort of having a 24 hour concierge may still prefer to pay the extra cost and stay in a hotel for this reason. However, rental agencies such as Rentals in Paris have office assistants who can assist you with most of your questions so this is less of an issue today than it might have been years ago when renting Paris apartments. The key is to ensure that you rent with a company that has physical presence in Paris; not an agency that mails you the keys with instructions to show yourself into your Paris apartment when you arrive. This is a no-no and should be avoided at all costs for obvious reasons.

Left bank or right bank? That remains the main question you should focus your attention on when choosing your Paris apartment rental. All neighborhoods have cafes, restaurants, metros, busses, stores, etc. but they have different characteristics and appeal to different types of people. A little internet research should help you to make the perfect decision before choosing your next Paris rental...

Paris 65th anniversary of the Liberation

Rentals in Paris is happy to share with all of our friends this wonderful week where the entire City of Light was alive with all of the ceremonies and parades held to commemorate the 65th anniversary of Paris' Liberation from the Nazi occupation. Huge amounts of city resources were devoted to this noteworthy event. Since Paris is still in it's very heavy estival period where not much happens due to the large numbers of Parisians who are on vacation, it was even more spectacular to be part of all of the festivities that were really over the top. Entire neighborhoods were closed off, and many famous French personalities, including politicians, movie stars and tv personalities were all called upon to speak about how wonderful Paris is today.

Of course we, at Rentals in Paris, always welcome these events since they just remind us of how lucky we are to be in Paris and to be able to share our favorite city with you. September is already pretty fully booked for us, but please contact us for your trips in the fall, and we will be happy to accommodate you and answer any questions you have about our Paris apartment rentals, or just about Paris in general.

Look forward to hearing from you.

Franceshow 2009

Each year France comes to London for one glorious weekend of all things French and wonderful. This exposition is called The France Show. Hundreds of French companies including Real Estate, wine and cheese producers, general tourism firms and people promoting all aspects of French life and culture attend this world famous venue.

Last week Rentals in Paris (www.rentals-paris.com) crossed the channel to visit our Northern neighbors and to share our Paris rental expertise with the participants. The venue went on for three days, January 9th-11th at London’s Earl’s Court. The France Show received an enthusiastic crowd of over 25,000 who enjoyed delights such as a traditional French market, petanque court, caricature artists, live accordion players, wine tasting seminars and a wide range of French property agents to discuss finding a dream home.

Of course, Rentals in Paris was there to fulfill everyone’s holiday dreams of visiting Paris in style and luxury by staying in a beautiful flat in the heart of the city. We would like to take this opportunity to personally thank each person we met at the France Show and to say how happy we were to participate in such an excellent event. We have already started to have new reservations owing to ouf last minute discounts through the end of February which are in effect now. If we had the pleasure of meeting you in person at the show, don’t forget to tell us who you are so we can know!

Paris apartment rentals great value this winter

Hi everybody,

With oil prices dropping to their lowest level in months, at almost $50 a barrel this week, airlines have followed suit and lowered their fares as well. Also the Euro has softened over the past month and will continue to do so for the next few months. Great news. Getting to Paris will be easier than it was this past summer. However, the general economic state around the world is still having an impact on people and businesses alike. Budgets are getting tighter everywhere.

Many corporations are looking at ways to reduce their expenditures. A recent article in the travel section of the New York Times analyzed how travel budgets were being reduced across the boards for families and business but that the apartment rental industry was a key to promoting travel even during tougher times. These days, companies like Rentals in Paris, LLC are here to provide you with the perfectly wonderful and affordable way to travel, even with a smaller budget.

Airlines are now offering the bargain consumer new reasons to travel this winter. Even though many businesses and vacationers are planning to scale back this season, there are a lot of good deals to tempt even the most budget conscious travelers. Rentals in Paris is no exception to this new trend. This winter tourists and business travelers can take advantage of our special rates to enjoy The City of even more lights. We have added new apartments and updated our website in an effort to continue to give our customers the highest level of service that is synonymous with Rentals in Paris LLC.

Not only do we do our best to make your stay with us a relaxed and memorable one, business travelers can report to your travel departments how much money you are saving the company by staying in a beautiful apartment instead of a small pricey hotel room. Not only are we cost efficient, but we offer beautiful comfortable apartments which are wonderful. WE also provide free internet as well as international phone service in many of our apartments. Despite people being more cautious with their spending there has never been a better time to see Paris. With lower airfares and great deals on our beautiful Parisian flats, business and personal travelers can take advantage of low rates to enjoy this great city.

Weather you have some important meetings at La Defense, or just want to take a stroll down the Seine. Rentals in Paris LLC has everything you will need to make your trip to Paris a unique experience that will never be forgotten.

Paris apartments for Business Travelers

Any frequent traveller knows the stress and fatigue of constant air travel. The sensation of always being on the go, and the feeling that beautiful cities start to look all the same. For most business professionals it becomes a nonstop routine of plane; hotel, work, hotel, etc.. With the world always constantly moving and fast pace of business many hotels have opted for the deco of the familiar.

The fast food concept that comfort exists is always being able to depend on having the same product given to you in the same way no matter where in the world you are. The Hyatt in Miami looking awfully familiar to the Hilton in Madrid, to the Sofitel in Paris. The same style of floral wallpaper, and the same carpet, with the same style of chairs placed usually in a similar fashion.

However, for the frequent traveller this can become a daze of single serving cups of coffee, and a haze of single serving shampoo bottles. The result ending in people waking up and not being sure which town they are in, Tokyo, or Berlin. In an effort to combat this voyaging fatigue, many hotels are turning to personal decorators in an attempt to personalise their executive suits. Passing this cost on to the customer as a luxury hotel suite, or premier class executive suites as they are sometimes known. But there is hope for the weary professional, here in Paris.

Many business are often seeking to cut costs in these economically turbulent times without cutting away at the quality. Rentals in Paris, www.rentals-paris.com, offers a great alternative for just this kind of occasion. An apartment located in the heart of the city with everything needed to ensure a successful and relaxing trip. With hi speed Internet access, fully furnished apartments, and fully equipped kitchens, renting an apartment is a great alternative to the same old same old. Gone are the extra costs of the minibar and room service, Internet service charges, and expensive international calls. This provides the businessmen with a comfortable, quiet, and personal experience, guaranteed to castaway those travelling blues. All the apartments are hand picked and decorated to ensure comfort and accessibility to not only the business districts but the sites as well. With many apartments offering free international calling as well as wifi, and even a washer dryer and iron it has everything a business professional would need. If by any chance there is something lacking, the staff, headed by owner Glenn Cooper, is just a quick phone call away and are happy to do everything they can to provide for any special needs that might arise.

Paris Ice Cream at Berthillon's

BERTHILLON GLACIER -- Where to find great ice cream in the heart of Paris

There are few things as refreshing as a great scoop of ice cream on a hot summer day. At Berthillion Glacier, you will find some of the world's best ice cream to satisfy even the most discerning sweet tooth. Along with ice cream, Berthillon specializes in scrumptious sorbets that come in a plethora of flavors. Some of the more popular flavors are fraise de bois (wild strawberries), and not to be missed is the chocolate-chocolate for the chocolate affectionado.

They have existed for well over 50 years and have a world famous reputation as being one of the best producers in Europe. They use only natural products and traditional recipes with no added chemicals or flavors. They are closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. Without a doubt Berthillon is a must for any discerning gourmet.

Berthillion Glacier is located right on the Ils St.Louis on that beautiful island in the middle of the Seine River. To top it off there is nothing like a stroll along the Seine to the tip of Ile Saint Louis for a great view of the city with a great scoop of sorbet on a hot day. Hands down the best ice cream in the city.

Paris apartments are always Excellent value

The Paris Tourism Office recently published their annual statistics relating to the tourism industry. This report includes the average price per night for a hotel room. In France you can rent an (average) room for 121 Euros/night. In Paris the same quality room (2 star category for two people) rents for 144 euros/night. It's important to keep in mind that an average hotel room does not meet standards expected by most American, Canadian or Australian travellers, in terms of size or comfort level. An average 2 star hotel probably won't have elevators, air conditioning or queen size beds. The room size is probably less than 10 square meters small and might be very noisy as many Paris hotels are.

These average rates are also far below the rates charged by most hotels in the central Paris neighborhoods where rates can range from 150-500 euros/night for a double room. The average rate is closer to 250 euros/night. These rates don't include breakfast, taxes, internet access, telephone calls, laundry facilities or kitchen access. A couple is therefore looking at spending between 1000-1500 Euros for 4 or 5 nights in a well located, but average comfort level hotel for 2 people. If your family includes more than 2 people, expect to pay much more than this.

The apartment rental option is therefore a very very cost effective choice. As a rule there is a one week minimum for most rentals in most agencies since the work involved has a number of fixed costs that can't be reduced. That's why many companies stick to the weekly minimum, even when guests reserve for 4 or 5 nights. In all cases, the weekly rates are a real bargain by Paris standards, and when you find a beautiful apartment which is located in one of the most central areas (the first, fourth, sixth or seventh districts) the weekly rates are usually 50% less than what an equally well located Paris hotel would charge you for 3 or 4 nights.

Even when going to Paris for less than a week, the Paris apartment rental option is a very good option for you and the extremely good value for money you will have will make your trip one of your best ones yet. For your next trip to Paris for 4 or 5 nights, don't hesitate to rent an apartment and you will certainly be satisfied with your decision.
