SOME CLIENTS SHARE THEIR POOR EXPERIENCES WITH OUR 'COMPETITORS'
"I never received the keys to the apartment I rented in Paris with ... as promised on the day my plane took off. I had to stay in a hotel for the first two nights, until they sent me another set of keys" Annie T., Winnepeg
"After renting with Glenn many times, on our last trip he was fully booked, so we found another agency. Oh my God was it a disaster. Everything was dirty (the sheets and the dishes). We ate out every night. Also the location was in the Marais, but they didn't tell us about all of the party animals and the hundreds of bars and discos filled with crazies that kept my wife awake all night (every night)." Bruno N., Miami
"We rented a beautiful apartment near the Champs Elysees. Unfortunately the next door neighbor was very rude to us upon our arrival. He told us we couldn't use the elevator which scared my mother a bit. It made us very uneasy and we were afraid to use the elevator our whole trip. Once we were out of the buidling we found the French to be very nice to us; just not in the building" Teresa G., Boston
"Nothing worked in the apartment we rented with the ..... Rental company. No TV, no internet, no fans, only two burners worked, the fridge wasn't cold, and the kitchen was pretty empty. They didn't even leave us any hand soap or toilet paper. It was a pretty awful way to have to spend your Paris dream vacation. Both times we rented with Rentals in Paris, everything was clean and functioned perfectly." Timothy P., Oyster Bay.
"When we rented our Paris apartment with the ... Agency, they told us that the rate included EVERYTHING. I was shocked however to learn that it included a family of friendly mice who ran around the apartment all night for the first few nights of our trip. The agency was impossible to contact and it took them 4 days to finally send an exterminator." George C, Brighton.
"When we rented our Paris apartment, the agency sent us the keys in the mail with a map to show ourselves into the apartment. When we showed up at the apartment (after 9 hours of flying) the keys didn't work and we couldn't get into the apartment. It was really a nightmare. We ended up staying at a hotel and have still not received our refund check from that company. Whenever we have rented with Glenn and his team, they showed us in personally and were always present when we needed them." Mr. and Mrs. Gerry F., Carmel.
"I hate to be negative, but our last experience was less than perfect. When we were checked into our 'charming' St. Germain apartment, the first thing we wanted to do was to take a quick shower and get over to the Cafe de Flores. We were shocked to learn that the hot water heater didn't work, and they couldn't get it fixed for three days. There is a limit to how many cold showers I wanted to take. I will never rent with ....... again!" Judy Y., Omaha.
"I had the scare of my life with our last Paris rental. My two young daughers (8 and 10) got stuck in the elevator going down on our way to dinner. The agency was closed since it was after office hours and nobody called us back. We spent three hours talking to our daughers to keep them calm until a neighbor finally showed up and helped us to contact the elevator company. I can't believe that the agency had nobody to give us a hand with this emergency" Mary and Jack A., Vancouver.
"We had arranged a meeting to be shown into our apartment on the Ile St. Louis as soon as we got into Paris. The young lady was over an hour late, very unfriendly and spoke an English dialect that was unknown to me. She never excused her late arrival and rushed us through everything in the apartment. My son and I couldn't follow a word she was saying and to this day I still don't know how to use the French washing machine. My clothing never came out dry and there was nobody to call to get it fixed (or clear explanations). We really felt unwanted." Mrs. Betty W., Austin.
"We had a pretty poor experience one time when we rented with ..... I had requested, in advance, a baby crib, for our 14 month son (Justin). they assured me that the crib would be waiting for us in the apartment. When we arrived, there was no crib, nobody to call and my husband has to go out and buy a baby crib (which wasn't cheap). It soured our experience a bit. Also there was too much smoke everywhere. The apartment smelled like smoke our entire stay and we don't smoke" Karen M., New York
