Marais Cote Seine, a magical Paris spot

Paris will always be Paris.  One of the most beautiful cities in the world, which manages to always hang onto it’s own beauty through the best and the worst of times.  It was really built to last, and each time one goes back to Paris, the natural beauty and fine architecture never cease to amaze.

A well known cafe along the banks of the Seine River in the Marais section.

This area of the Marais, known as Saint Gervais, is so wonderful since it is right in the heart of everything, between the Seine River and the Hotel de Ville/Saint Paul and the Rue de Rivoli.  It is a micro neighborhood which is calm and full of trees and beautiful buildings and amazingly, so central to everything.

Walking through this section of the Marais provides a chance to witness, firsthand, one of Paris’ early villages and it still looks as it did in many ways.  The attention to detail concerning the beautiful historic buildings, paved walkways, churches and galleries is still as it was….  When we reach the Rue Francois Miron, we find a unique Paris building, which is part of many Paris walking tours.

One of Paris' three oldest buildings. A true Paris historical monument.
